EconLit (in FirstSearch: Business & Economics) is an expanded version of the classified article index part of the Journal of Economic Literature (JEL), which is the standard tool
used for locating economics literature. EconLit provides citations and
abstracts to nearly 600 economics journals and indexes other materials
related to the field, such as:
- books -- the "Annotated Listing of New Books" section
of JEL, starting from 1987
- collective volume articles -- conference proceedings,
collections of essays, research project reports,
collections of papers by a single author and
festschriften volumes, starting from 1984
- dissertations, starting from 1987
- "Abstracts of Working Papers in Economics" database, starting from 1984
- book reviews -- full text of JEL book reviews, starting from September1994
